Learn how to get the most out of Marker for Creators.
This site will get revamped soon, right now it has quick and fast help for your most asked Questions.
My App won't export an .edl/.itt/.xml file
When exporting your Session the second time, the .edl/.itt/.xml extension might be missing from the exported File. This is a known issue, caused by iOS which currently can't be fixed. Our only workaround is to manually add the ".edl"(DaVinci) ".xml"(Premiere) ".itt"(Final Cut) extension to the Marker file on your Mac.
How to import my Markers into DaVinci/Premiere/Final Cut?
There's a dedicated tutorial in your Marker Settings. If you don't see the tutorial for the software you're looking for, change the "Editing Software" at the top of the settings to the software you'd like to use, and the tutorial will show you the correct Tutorial.
"My Markers won't show up in my timeline"
Check the following:
If you are using "Rec Run" the Markers will appear at the start of your timeline. By default DaVinci Timelines start at 01:00:00:00 Timecode. If you've changed that to 00:00:00:00 in your DaVinci Settings (check "Preferences > User > Editing > New Timeline Settings > Start Timecode") you have to change that in the Marker for Creators Settings as well (turn on "Start Timecode at 00:00:00:00"). Otherwise you won't see your markers correctly.
If you are using "Time of Day" make sure the Timecode of your timeline matches the timecode of your Marker Session.
Also make sure you've set the correct framerate when using in/out markers.
Why are my Markers all purple?
Final Cut Pro doesn't support color coded Markers. That's why all Markers are purple (they will all have the same purple color in FCP). If you switch to DaVinci or Premiere, have the native colors of those platforms.
